The role of Licensed Mental Health Counselor is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while serving our clientele. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans that address the individual needs of clients, including pre-crisis and crisis plans, behavioral guidelines, risk assessments, and medication treatment strategies.

• Document all client interactions and treatment progress in accordance with regulatory standards, ensuring timely and precise entries in our electronic health record system.
\n
• Implement evidence-based screening tools and practices as prescribed by the clinical team to ensure high-quality care.
\n
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement positive behavior support plans tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
\n
• Engage in ongoing licensing and accreditation processes to maintain compliance with industry standards.
\n
• Serve as a liaison between clients and relevant service systems, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive support by coordinating with state agencies and community partners.
\n
• Maintain open and effective communication with staff and stakeholders to meet contract expectations and uphold the mission of Empowerment Pathways.
\n
• Build and sustain strategic relationships with local, state, and federal agencies to advocate for program interests and explore new funding opportunities.
\n
• Strive for continuous professional development through attendance at conferences, training sessions, and by participating in task forces that influence mental health policies.
\n
• Embrace and promote the agency's mission, values, and ethical principles throughout all interactions and duties.

• Other duties may be assigned by the Clinic Director to support clinic operations and client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve include individuals facing mental health challenges, those recovering from substance use disorders, and clients with developmental disabilities or acquired brain injuries. Your empathetic approach and expert guidance will assist them in navigating their therapeutic journeys, focusing not just on recovery but also on enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in a mental health-related field is mandatory.

• An independent LMHC License is required to practice in New York State.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly in a telehealth setting, is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
