Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop individualized treatment strategies for clients.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions using techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards while ensuring confidentiality and security.

• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and support staff, to coordinate care and share insights about patient progress.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with mental health research and treatment modalities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor will primarily focus on serving diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families grappling with varying mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. We aim to reach those who may have limited access to mental health resources, providing them with the support they need to thrive.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.
