Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that address both acute and chronic mental health conditions.

• Provide effective crisis intervention services as needed, employing evidence-based practices to ensure client safety and stability.

• Facilitate individual and group psychotherapy sessions, utilizing appropriate therapeutic modalities based on client needs.

• Prepare detailed intake summaries and maintain comprehensive, confidential records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

• Collaborate with physicians in screening patients for psychotropic medications and monitor treatment effectiveness.

• Offer consultative support to other healthcare providers and educators, enhancing overall mental health literacy within the community.

• Support family members of clients by providing education and guidance on treatment processes to foster understanding and cooperation.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse client population, including both adults and children presenting various psychiatric conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and mood instability. The role involves assessing and understanding each client’s unique background and challenges to provide tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• Education: A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy is required.

• Licensure: Candidates must hold valid licensure as a LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Washington.

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of counseling experience in either outpatient or inpatient settings is preferred. Experience should include working under licensed supervision.
