Legal AssistantProxy Legal Staffing & Search Group has partnered with a growing firm to find a highly motivated Legal Assistant. Responsibilities include preparing and proofreading legal documents, including pleadings and motions, managing case files and tracking deadlines to ensure compliance, e-filing documents in state and federal courts, scheduling depositions, hearings, and client meetings, communicating effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel, assisting with trial preparation, organizing exhibits and binders, and maintaining attorney timekeeping and billing records. Required skills include 3+ years of litigation legal assistant experience in a law firm, a strong understanding of litigation procedures, court rules, and e-filing, proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software, excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills, and the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
