Work Environment

This role is primarily based onsite at our outpatient office in the vibrant community of St. Petersburg, Florida. The physical therapist will work collaboratively alongside other healthcare professionals, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, with a strong focus on improving mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities that promote physical well-being and pain relief, adjusting strategies as needed based on patient feedback and progress.
• Provide education on proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and home exercise programs to empower patients in their recovery efforts.
• Administer therapeutic modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, while ensuring compliance with best practices and safety guidelines.
• Document patient progress in detail, monitoring metrics such as range of motion and strength gains to facilitate effective treatment adjustments.
• Maintain an organized treatment area, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available for therapy sessions.
• Work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team, coordinating care with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists to optimize patient outcomes.
• Offer emotional support and encouragement to patients, fostering a positive therapeutic environment throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Uphold ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and respect for patient rights and privacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients come from diverse backgrounds and present a wide range of rehabilitation needs. This includes individuals recovering from post-surgical procedures, elderly patients seeking to regain mobility, children with developmental challenges, and athletes aiming to restore peak performance. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in addressing these unique needs and helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an outpatient setting.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Certification in specialized therapeutic techniques (e.g., manual therapy, aquatic therapy) is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
