Firearms Assembler

Firearms AssemblerThis position is responsible for assembling firearms with limited supervision. Work with small and large parts and hand tools for assembly. Perform related work in assessing quality standards and ensuring the product meets exacting specifications and standards.Position Qualifications/Requirements:At least 1 year of experience working with hand and power toolsMust be comfortable around firearmsMust be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 poundsMust be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery exposure to noise and chemicalsPreferred Skills:Strong attention to detailAbility to sit for up to 10 hours a dayCore Duties:Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materialsPositions parts and subassemblies by using work instructionsAssembles components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassembliesVerifies specifications by measuring completed componentsResolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resourcesMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededHours:1st shift positionMonday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Friday- overtime as neededSpecial Requirements:Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen.
