About the Position

Description

We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Neurologist to provide locum coverage in Longview, Washington . This opportunity offers a combination of outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, admissions, and night call with coverage needed one week per month . The ideal candidate will have experience performing EEG and EMG and be comfortable managing both inpatient and outpatient neurology patients.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient Neurology services.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage neurological disorders in adult patients (17+).
• Conduct daily clinic visits, inpatient rounds, and hospital admissions.
• Perform and interpret EEG and EMG procedures.
• Manage approximately 16 patients per day .
• Respond to after-hours call, including phone consultations and in-house consults as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Document patient care using Epic EMR .

Working Hours

• Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Coverage: One week per month
• Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Night Call: Required throughout the coverage week
• Prefer 3–5 days of call coverage , with 24-hour call in addition to clinic
• Call volume averages 0–4 calls/texts per 24 hours
• In-house consults performed while on site.

Requirements

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
• Active Washington Medical License required at the time of presentation (IMLC candidates will be considered).
• Recent experience performing EEG and EMG procedures.
• Must provide documentation of 100 Neurology cases within the past 24 months .
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient Neurology preferred.
