Faena Miami Beach is seeking a professional, discreet, and service-oriented Private Family Cook to provide personalized evening meal preparation for a family of four. This temporary position is ideal for a culinary professional who enjoys creating fresh, healthy, well-balanced meals in an intimate private setting. The Private Family Cook will plan, prepare, and present evening meals throughout the week while accommodating the family's preferences, dietary needs, and schedule. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong culinary skills, flexibility, organization, discretion, and the ability to deliver a consistently high standard of service reflective of the Faena experience.

Note:

• This position supports a private family affiliated with Faena Hotel. While the opportunity is being facilitated through Faena Miami Beach, the individual selected for this role will not be employed directly by Faena Miami Beach.
• The selected candidate will be employed by and provide services directly to the private family. Employment terms, compensation, scheduling, benefits (if applicable), and other conditions of employment will be established separately by the employing family.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare fresh, healthy, and well-balanced evening meals for a family of four throughout the week.
• Develop thoughtful weekly menus based on the family's preferences, dietary requirements, and nutritional goals.
• Provide variety in menu offerings while emphasizing fresh, high-quality ingredients and wholesome preparation methods. Accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, preferences, and special requests as needed.
• Coordinate grocery and ingredient needs and ensure appropriate products are available for meal preparation.
• Maintain proper food storage, rotation, sanitation, and food safety standards.
• Keep the kitchen and food preparation areas organized, clean, and maintained to a high standard.
• Prepare meals according to the family's preferred dining schedule and adjust as needed based on changes in plans.
• Maintain appropriate portioning and minimize unnecessary food waste.
• Demonstrate discretion and professionalism at all times when working within a private family environment. Respect the privacy and confidentiality of the family and any information learned while performing the role.
• Communicate proactively regarding menus, ingredient needs, dietary considerations, or schedule changes.
• Perform additional culinary-related responsibilities as reasonably requested.

Qualifications:

• Previous professional cooking experience required; experience as a Private Chef, Family Cook, Personal Chef, or within a luxury hotel, resort, restaurant, or private residence is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of healthy cooking techniques and balanced meal preparation.
• Ability to prepare a variety of cuisines and adapt menus according to individual preferences.
• Knowledge of food allergies, dietary restrictions, and special dietary needs.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Professional, polished, trustworthy, highly discreet, flexible, and responsive to changing schedules or meal preferences.
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper kitchen practices.
• Commitment to providing personalized service consistent with Faena's standards of excellence.

Employment Type: Temporary Schedule:

• Evening meal preparation throughout the week. Specific working days and hours may vary depending on the family's schedule and needs.
• Family Size: Four
• Primary Focus: Healthy evening meals and personalized family dining.
• This position is anticipated to continue through December 2026. The assignment will pause while the family is away and may resume upon the family's return, based on their needs and availability. Flexibility is required, as schedules and meal requirements may change depending on the family's plans.

Due to the private nature of this assignment, confidentiality, discretion, trust, and respect for the family's privacy are essential requirements of the position. The individual should anticipate needs, remain flexible, and consistently provide a thoughtful and elevated culinary experience while maintaining a comfortable and welcoming family dining environment.
