As a Corrections Security Officer - Full Time in Columbia, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities within a correctional setting.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, entrances, perimeters, and other designated areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, exit, and movement through designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs regarding patrols, incidents, visitor activity, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
