Senior Sales Manager – Courtyard Mission Valley | San Diego, CA The Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Mission Valley is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Senior Sales Manager to join our team in beautiful San Diego. This role is ideal for a hospitality sales professional who thrives on building strong client relationships and capturing group business in a competitive and dynamic market. Position Overview As Senior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating group room revenue through proactive sales efforts, client relationship management, and strategic market outreach. You will focus on securing corporate meetings, SMERF, association, and social groups while ensuring a seamless experience from initial inquiry through contract execution. Key Responsibilities Prospect, solicit, and secure new group business opportunities for the hotel. Manage and grow a portfolio of existing group accounts to drive repeat business. Respond to group inquiries, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts. Conduct outside sales calls, site tours, and client presentations. Participate in networking events, trade shows, and community activities to promote the hotel. Partner with revenue management and operations to ensure group profitability and guest satisfaction. Maintain accurate records of sales activities and account information in CRM systems. Qualifications 2+ years of hotel group sales experience preferred. Marriott, Hilton, or Hyatt Brand experience preferred. Strong knowledge of group sales processes within the hospitality industry. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to prospect and close business in a competitive market. Experience with Marriott systems and brand standards is a plus.
