Senior Accountant, Finance

Perform routine and complex accounting activities requiring knowledge of systems and independent judgment Oversee activity on various accounts Analyze past and current data and prepare expense projections and operational forecasts Assist with audits Design and generate routine ad hoc reports and graphs Maintain grants and assist with budgets as needed Coordinate computer operations Conceptualize projects and follow through Provide direction to less experienced staff concerning accounting issues as needed Manage daily bank accounts and organizational revenue in the general ledger Perform related responsibilities as required Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field and one year of professional accounting experience, or equivalent combination of experience, education and training Excel skills, including pivot tables, sort/filter, formulas, templates, and uploading journal entries and files PDF skills, including organizing, adding, and editing pages ERP knowledge preferred Banking knowledge a plus Nonprofit experience including analysis of restrictions Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer Must be able to commute to The Carter Center on a flexible weekly schedule Non-exempt employees must reside within the state of Georgia Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in accounting activities, including financial analysis, budget management, and grant maintenance, while providing guidance to junior staff.
