Bookkeeper

Onsite | Kansas City, MO Morgan Hunter is partnering with a well‑established professional services firm to add a Bookkeeper to its close‑knit team. You'll work alongside an experienced team during the transition and have the opportunity to modernise processes while supporting a variety of accounting, payroll, and HR functions. The ideal candidate enjoys wearing multiple hats, has strong QuickBooks experience, and takes pride in accuracy, organisation, and delivering excellent internal support. Responsibilities Manage accounts payable, bill payments, bank reconciliations, and general bookkeeping activities. Maintain financial records and assist with month‑end reporting and account reconciliations. Process payroll and support payroll tax reporting and related documentation. Administer employee onboarding, benefits enrollment, and HR record‑keeping. Coordinate employee changes, employment verifications, and benefits administration. Assist with insurance renewals, compliance reporting, and other administrative projects. Identify opportunities to improve and streamline accounting and office processes. Qualifications 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. Experience with QuickBooks Online required. Knowledge of payroll processing and basic HR administration preferred. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities. Friendly, collaborative personality with strong communication skills.
