Associate Director, Commodity Management and Sourcing

About this role Leads multiple teams headed by Commodity / Account Management & Strategic Sourcing managers or supervisors, establishing, and executing purchasing objectives. Recommends and implements sourcing strategies and networks in support of supply chain strategy. Directs supplier selections, negotiations, and contract administration. Key Responsibilities Establishes critical sourcing strategies; owns the company’s purchasing activities, ensuring continuous improvement. Develops and implements mid- to long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc. Partners with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and develops sourcing strategies to continuously improve and re-evaluate the company’s purchasing activities. Directs supplier selection based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and details of suppliers' reputation and history. Directs negotiations, renegotiations, and administration of contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives. Directs negotiations with suppliers and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree 9+ years of experience in sourcing environment and familiarity with industrial operations 5 + years of Integrated facilities management experience Preferred Qualifications MBA or professional certifications (CPM, CPSM, CIRM, CPIM) Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Experience with strategic sourcing and lean tools Digital dexterity and ability to leverage data Strong knowledge of supply chain strategy (development and execution) and category-specific experience Independently driven problem solver with an appetite to address complex challenges in a fast-moving environment Proven track record of successful leadership, negotiation, and strategic communication Strong business acumen and experience collaborating across various levels within a diverse, global organization #J-18808-Ljbffr Carrier
