Lathe/CNC Machinist

LF Staffing Services, Inc.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lathe/CNC Machinist for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in New Orleans . The ideal candidate has previous machining experience, can set up and operate lathes and/or CNC machines, read blueprints and measurements, inspect finished parts for specifications and tolerances, and safely perform machining work with minimal to no supervision.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate lathes and/or CNC machines according to specifications.
Read blueprints, drawings, and measurements to complete machining work accurately.
Measure finished parts to verify specifications and tolerances.
Select and change tooling, make machine adjustments, and monitor production.
Perform basic machine maintenance and keep the work area safe and organized.

Requirements

Previous machining experience is required.
Experience setting up and operating lathes and/or CNC machines.
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
Ability to measure finished parts and verify specifications and tolerances.
Ability to safely operate machining equipment with minimal to no supervision.
