Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, offering flexibility and the convenience of working from home. Through our advanced telehealth technology, you’ll connect with clients across New York, providing necessary assessments, therapy sessions, and support. While the standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, there may be opportunities for flexibility in hours based on patient availability. This remote structure not only fosters a work-life balance but also allows therapists to work in a comfortable, safe environment.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive assessments to gather information regarding patients' mental health histories and current challenges, enabling the development of personalized treatment plans.

• Implement a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), adjusted to fit the cultural and personal needs of each client.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions, family therapy meetings, and group therapy discussions to create healing spaces that encourage openness and support.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure a holistic approach to treatment, coordinating care as necessary.

• Provide crisis intervention services, offering immediate support and strategies for clients experiencing acute mental health challenges.

• Educate patients and their families about various mental health issues, treatment methodologies, and available community resources, while promoting self-advocacy and empowerment.

• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) across platforms, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participate in case conferences, team strategy meetings, and cultural competency training, contributing to a collaborative learning environment.

• Stay updated with the latest mental health research, practices, and cultural considerations to continuously enhance therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Registered (LCSW-R) in the state of New York.

• Extensive knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment options, and culturally competent therapy practices.
\n
• Proven experience in providing individual and group therapy in an inclusive manner, demonstrating adaptability to the unique needs of each patient.

• Strong skills in crisis intervention, with a calm, effective demeanor in challenging situations.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of establishing rapport with a diverse patient base.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation and tracking.

Compensation and Benefits\n
