About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Compliance & BSA Officer to lead its enterprise-wide Compliance Management System and serve as the designated BSA Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and continuous improvement of the compliance program, ensuring it effectively identifies and mitigates compliance risks. This includes overseeing product compliance, risk assessments, data and analytics, issues management, monitoring and testing, and consumer complaint management. The role also involves leading a team to manage BSA/AML program requirements, including the development and implementation of the BSA/AML compliance program, and serving as the primary regulatory contact for BSA/AML inquiries and examinations. Candidates for this role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with specialized compliance designations such as CRCM or CAMS highly preferred. A minimum of 10 years' progressive compliance experience, particularly at a financial institution or consumer financial services company, is required, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management position. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of federal consumer protection laws and regulations, as well as a thorough understanding of compliance management system frameworks and examination procedures. Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills are essential, along with the ability to foster a culture of accountability and discipline. The role demands a professional who can balance compliance rigor with operational agility and is adept at managing competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
