Step into a meaningful contract role supporting K-12 learners as a Special Education Teacher for the 26/27 school year. Qualifications and Experience:

• Possess a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs, curriculum adaptations, and behavioral interventions
• Confident managing caseloads encompassing a range of ages and ability levels
• Committed to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom culture
• Skilled in collaborating with general educators, paraprofessionals, and support staff
• Strong communication and organization skills
• District fingerprinting and security clearance required prior to start

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver differentiated instruction that meets the unique academic and behavioral needs of students with disabilities
• Develop and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in line with district, state, and federal guidelines
• Collect and analyze student performance data; adjust instructional strategies proactively
• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to ensure student progress and success
• Provide direct support, guidance, and training for support personnel (paraprofessionals, assistants)
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Engage in professional development and ongoing program evaluation
