About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President for Insurance Capital and Actuarial Modeling Transformation. This senior role is pivotal in the business-side transformation, focusing on the integration of actuarial, finance, capital, risk, investments, and technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with senior stakeholders to comprehend and enhance complex insurance liability and capital modeling processes. Key tasks include interpreting actuarial model outputs, supporting capital forecasting across various reporting lenses, and evaluating the impact of changes in assumptions and business strategies on financial and capital results. The role demands a professional with a strong background in life and annuity insurance, capable of challenging modeling methodologies and outputs across different regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years' experience in life and annuity insurance, reinsurance, actuarial consulting, or related fields, and a deep understanding of actuarial modeling, financial projections, and insurance capital. While not primarily a model-development role, experience with actuarial modeling platforms, Python, SQL, AI, or advanced analytics is beneficial. The role requires a professional with executive-level communication skills, the ability to engage with and influence senior stakeholders, and a proven track record in leading or supporting transformation initiatives within a complex insurance organization. A relevant professional designation such as FSA, ASA, CFA, or CPA is valuable, and the candidate should be adept at translating complex actuarial and capital concepts into clear business, data, and technology requirements.
