As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Candidates must be available to successfully complete two weeks of paid training before working independently and must pass a pre-employment urinalysis drug screening as a condition of employment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor public areas and access points, observe passenger and visitor activity, and communicate with supervisors, local authorities, and/or site contacts regarding security-related concerns.
• Support a professional presence at a government transportation location by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and documenting incidents, observations, and/or daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
