As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Commerce City, CO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $21.70 / Hour Job Schedule: Sat 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you. Responsibilities Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, badge and credential verification, and/or visitor check‑in activities at a logistics and distribution location. Monitor entry and exit points, screen deliveries and shipments as directed, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, docks, gates, and other designated parts of the location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate. Document daily activity, access‑related events, and unusual conditions in required reports, logs, and/or electronic systems according to site‑specific policies. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including gates, parking areas, trailer yards, and loading zones, as working environments and conditions may vary by location. Minimum Requirements A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
