About the Role:

Ballerina Restaurant Inc. is looking for a passionate and skilled Pizzaiolo to join our team in the beautiful Bal Harbour, FL area. If you live and breathe pizza — from hand-stretching dough to crafting the perfect pie — this is your stage to shine. Come bring your craft to a restaurant that takes food seriously and loves what it does.

Wood-fire oven experience is a MUST. Hours: 11 am - 9 pm on SUNDAYS ONLY.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and hand-stretch pizza dough to order using traditional and modern techniques
• Operate and manage wood-fired, gas, or deck ovens to achieve consistent, high-quality results
• Craft and assemble pizzas with precision, following recipes and maintaining presentation standards
• Monitor dough fermentation, proofing, and daily prep to ensure freshness and consistency
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked pizza station throughout service
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth, timely ticket execution during peak hours
• Assist in developing seasonal or specialty pizza menu items

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Pizzaiolo, Pizza Chef, or similar role in a restaurant environment
• Strong knowledge of dough preparation, fermentation, and pizza-making techniques
• Experience working with high-temperature ovens (wood-fired, deck, or gas)
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and consistency
• Food Handler Certification or ServSafe certification preferred
• Reliable, team-oriented, and passionate about the culinary arts
