The AP Analyst I plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient processing of accounts payable transactions within an organization. This position involves reviewing and reconciling invoices, verifying payment terms, and maintaining vendor records.

Responsibilities

• Scan and enter invoices into TimberScan or Employee Central for accurate processing.
• Handle daily posting of invoices between Employee Central and Timberline (Sage), ensuring proper entry of all relevant data.
• Run and analyze the open report on a weekly basis to track outstanding invoices and take action, as necessary.
• Ensure the three-way match process is followed for all applicable invoices to maintain accuracy and consistency in accounts payable
• Assist with the setup, maintenance, and updating of vendor records in Timberline (Sage) to ensure up-to-date and accurate vendor information.
• Assist with the reconciliation of accounts that are on hold to resolve payment issues and clear outstanding balances.
• Perform regular reconciliations of all vendor statements with the company's accounting records to ensure accuracy in reporting and payment histories.
• Research and resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices in a timely and efficient manner.
• Meet and maintain department KPIs by ensuring invoices are processed on time, discrepancies are minimized, and reporting is accurate.
• Maintain a courteous and professional manner in all interactions with vendors and internal teams.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in all regions to ensure seamless functioning of the accounts payable processes.
• Assist the Accounts Payable Specialists and Manager with miscellaneous tasks as needed to support the department's goals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience.
• Working knowledge of Accounts Payable (A/P) and related accounting processes required.
• Strong computer proficiency.
• Experience with Timberline, TimberScan, and ManageEngine highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with field personnel, vendors, management, and peers regarding A/P issues, procedures, and processes.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume environment with aggressive deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while effectively communicating and coordinating with the team.
