Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make an impact in school-based speech-language therapy as a bilingual SLP in the Des Plaines/Elgin area on a full-time contract basis, working the 2026-27 school year. This on-site, itinerant role serves student populations at two school locations, supporting communication development across a variety of age groups. You’ll collaborate with educators and families while addressing speech and language needs for students, with a manageable caseload averaging about 45, thanks to a supportive workload model.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Current Illinois Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement
• Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License required
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
• Fluency in both Spanish and English required
• Pediatric or school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
• Ability to travel between school sites as part of an itinerant assignment

Core Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans following state and district standards
• Maintain appropriate documentation for IEPs and student progress reports
• Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
• Engage in ongoing communication with school staff and guardians
• Provide bilingual services tailored to diverse student needs
