Conduct assessments for patients spanning pediatric to geriatric demographics using both formal assessments and interactive observations.
Craft individualized treatment strategies that align with both immediate and long-term communicative, cognitive, and swallowing goals.
Implement specialized speech therapy sessions focusing on various aspects including language, fluency, articulation, voice, and swallowing.
Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Provide informative education for patients and families to facilitate ongoing support for progress outside of therapy sessions.
Participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure comprehensive continuation of care.
Maintain up-to-date, precise documentation to comply with state and federal regulations.
Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for individuals across the age spectrum, with in-depth knowledge of both congenital and acquired speech, language, and swallowing conditions.
Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and collaborative care teams.
Ability to tailor therapy techniques to accommodate diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
Sound clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity and comfort with electronic medical records and documentation practices.
