Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant at the Whitewater Center (Whitewater) is responsible for assisting with the accounting functions at the Whitewater Center. The Staff Accountant is a full‑time, on‑site, benefit‑eligible position and reports to the Controller. Responsibilities Review, verify and record daily work from all point‑of‑sale locations. Reconciling various transaction systems and financial accounts. Assisting with maintaining the general ledger system. Assisting with the month‑end closing activities. Assisting the external auditors. Providing financial support to the various operating teams, as needed. Providing support with the various software applications and supporting databases, as needed. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). One or more years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during other Whitewater events as needed. Physical Demands Must be able to work outdoors for sustained periods of time in all weather and environmental conditions. Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds. Must be able to bend, stand, lean, and kneel on a regular basis and for sustained periods of time. Must be able to safely self‑transport over uneven terrain or in a confined space. Must be able to work in shared spaces with other employees and customers. All positions at Whitewater require employees to report and work onsite at Whitewater locations.
