Staff Accountant

We are currently seeking an experienced staff accountant to join our firm in the Dilworth neighborhood of Charlotte. Responsibilities Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual reporting packages for multiple clients Reconciliation of general ledger accounts, prepare and record journal entries Prepare trial balances at client year end for preparation of business income tax returns Assist clients with ongoing accounting needs either in-person or via remote access Prepare payroll calculations, and payroll tax returns Prepare sales tax returns, personal property taxes Develop relationships and maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, meet deadlines and ensure satisfaction Manage multiple engagements across multiple industries, and manage competing priorities Work extended hours (approx. 50 hour work week) during busy season Desired Skills & Experience Degree in accounting or related experience Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in corporate and/or public accounting Proficient knowledge of CCH software a plus Desire to grow professionally What we offer Competitive compensation plan Benefits package including medical and life insurance, retirement, and wellness programs Four day work week in the summer Hybrid work from home/work from office after initial training period #J-18808-Ljbffr
