Accounting Manager
Our client, a high-growth AI technology company, is seeking an Accounting Manager to help build and scale its accounting function during an exciting period of expansion. 

Location: 
Menlo Park, CA. The position is hybrid, with in-office expectations 2-3 days/week. 

Job Description:
This is a highly visible role that will partner closely with Finance leadership and play a key role in strengthening accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is excited about helping establish scalable processes for a growing organization. This position follows a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end close activities, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Oversee revenue accounting processes, including review of customer agreements and revenue recognition documentation
• Manage core accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll, and other operational accounting areas
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies
• Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and other service providers to support audits and compliance requirements
• Assist with regulatory and statutory reporting obligations
• Develop and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal control processes
• Supervise and mentor accounting team members while supporting department growth and development
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, legal, and other business stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including experience within a corporate accounting environment
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and revenue recognition principles
• Experience managing accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close processes
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
