Business Development Representative

Compensation $55,000–$65,000 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission About TechCompass TechCompass is a cybersecurity consulting firm that helps startups, SMBs, and private equity backed organizations build practical security programs that scale with their business. Our services include cybersecurity assessments, penetration testing, compliance readiness, Microsoft 365 security, cloud security, vCISO services, and ongoing advisory. We're expanding our business development efforts and are looking for a Business Development Representative to help grow our partner network and create new business opportunities. Position Overview TechCompass is seeking a Business Development Representative to support the growth of our partner network and business development efforts. This role is responsible for identifying prospective partners, conducting outbound outreach, and scheduling qualified meetings with organizations that align with our services. This is not a closing role. The primary objective is to create opportunities by opening doors with prospective partners and introducing them to TechCompass. The successful candidate will work directly with the founder and leadership team while gaining exposure to cybersecurity consulting and professional services. This is a hybrid position based in Alpharetta, Georgia, combining office collaboration, remote work, and occasional networking events or partner meetings throughout Metro Atlanta. Responsibilities Research and build target lists of prospective partners. Execute outbound outreach through LinkedIn, email, phone, and networking. Schedule qualified meetings with prospective partners. Develop relationships with MSPs, MSSPs, technology consulting firms, compliance providers, operating groups, and other organizations that support SMB and mid market businesses. Maintain consistent follow up throughout the business development process. Track outreach activity, meetings, and pipeline within the CRM. Collaborate with leadership to refine messaging, outreach campaigns, and target markets. Represent TechCompass professionally in every interaction. What Success Looks Like Success in this role is measured by the ability to consistently generate qualified opportunities. Key performance indicators include: Growth of the partner pipeline Consistent outbound activity Expansion of the TechCompass partner network Revenue generated through sourced partner relationships Qualifications 2–4 years of experience in business development, sales development, recruiting, staffing, or outbound sales. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable conducting outbound outreach by phone, email, and LinkedIn. Highly organized with strong follow up and time management skills. Self motivated and comfortable working in a fast paced environment. Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce is preferred. Experience working with MSPs, SaaS, IT services, or cybersecurity organizations is a plus, but not required. Based in or willing to commute to the Alpharetta, Georgia area.
