Director, Sales Finance

Overview Director, Sales Finance | Tampa, FL | $150,000–$180,000 + Bonus + Equity + Full Benefits This senior finance leadership role oversees the go-to-market organization’s finances at a high-growth, global technology company. The Director of Sales Finance partners with the CFO and GTM leadership on forecasting, budgeting, compensation design, headcount planning, and GTM analytics. The role is initially individual contributor with a plan to add direct reports and is based in-office in Tampa. Responsibilities Lead the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and long-range revenue scenarios for the go-to-market organization. Build and maintain capacity models informing hiring plans, quota setting, and future revenue projections. Track sales performance indicators (quota attainment, pipeline movement, average sales cycle length) to identify trends early. Model and evaluate strategic initiatives, including pricing changes, capital allocation, new market expansion, and partnerships. Partner with Sales Leadership and HR to design and roll out annual sales compensation plans aligned to revenue goals. Manage the full commission lifecycle from quota and territory validation through calculation and payout. Ensure accuracy and integrity of data within the commission management system; measure impact of compensation programs. Serve as the point of contact for resolution of commission questions and disputes. Forecast and oversee operating expenses across sales, marketing, and customer success. Lead headcount planning with models and recommendations supporting org design and hiring decisions. Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for GTM leadership, with variance analysis and commentary. Identify financial risks and opportunities early and communicate them to leadership. Act as the financial partner for GTM leadership, including the CFO and leaders of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success. Collaborate with Sales Operations and IT to maintain data, systems, and reporting alignment. Drive ongoing improvements in financial processes and reporting to scale with growth. Lead and develop direct reports as the team expands. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Solid background in FP&A, Strategic Finance, or Corporate Finance with strong analytical skills. Ability to build sophisticated, driver-based financial models from scratch. Executive presence with comfort presenting to senior leaders and delivering candid messages to sales leadership. Self-starter who brings ideas and solutions rather than waiting for direction. Strong interpersonal skills and cultural fit. Experience with a cloud-based FP&A platform.
