Accounts Payable Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team in Santa Fe Springs, CA. This is a Direct Hire position offering a stable, long-term opportunity to manage core financial workflows within a dynamic multi-state operation. The ideal candidate must have a background in manufacturing or construction.  If you are a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment, excels at keeping financial records meticulous, and prides yourself on building vendor relationships, we want to hear from you! You will play a key role in maintaining our AP controls, auditing processes, and driving continuous improvement in our accounting department.

salary: $52,000 - $60,320 per year

Responsibilities

Manage multi-state Accounts Payable processes, including posting invoices, entering checks/credit card receipts, and maintaining robust internal controls.

Execute accurate 3-way matching across purchase orders, receiving/packing lists, and vendor invoices to ensure accurate data processing.

Maintain comprehensive vendor files (W-9s, 1099s, applications) and directly resolve vendor inquiries or discrepancies.

Reconcile vendor statements and act as an internal auditor to ensure all transactions follow proper accounting procedures.

Apply analytical skills to troubleshoot complex transaction issues, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements.

Work independently or collaboratively as a detail-oriented, self-motivated multi-tasker; assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.
