About the Position

Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Pennsylvania

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Northeastern Pennsylvania

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week assignment; every other weekend required; every other holiday coverage; night shifts include Saturday/Sunday; 1:5 patient ratio; 12-hour orientation; no on-call requirements

Highlights:

• High-volume Emergency Department serving all age populations including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 93 patients across 19 rooms with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Services
• Epic charting system utilized for all documentation
• Manageable 1:5 patient ratio across all shifts with no floating or on-call obligations
• First-time travelers welcomed and encouraged to apply
• Comprehensive orientation with 12 hours of dedicated training to ensure success

Requirements:

• Active Pennsylvania RN license or compact license with ability to obtain PA licensure
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Preferred Certifications: TNCC, NRP, and CPI
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Demonstrated competency in emergency procedures including trauma care, stroke management, cardiac emergencies, respiratory management, and pediatric emergency care
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions available); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Must complete Pennsylvania fingerprinting and background clearance requirements
