Clinical Laboratory Technologist - DNA Paternity

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee for DNA paternity testing in Burlington, North Carolina. The role involves performing laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality in an afternoon-to-evening shift schedule. New graduates are welcome with full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assess specimen acceptability according to established quality criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
• Report accurate and timely test results and maintain quality control documentation
• Prepare and evaluate reagents, controls, and maintain testing supplies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemical science, biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology
• CLIA-compliant science credits or non-traditional degree as alternative qualification
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• Ability to pass color blindness screening test
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred
• 3+ months clinical laboratory testing experience preferred
