Founded in 1927, the Vantage group employs more than 1,000 team members across multiple locations in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.About the RoleReporting to the VP, Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the Company's financial records and reporting.This position plays a key role in the monthly and annual close processes, financial analysis, account reconciliations, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.Working closely with Operations, Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, Purchasing, and Management, the Senior Accountant will provide financial insight that supports sound business decisions, operational efficiency, and the achievement of the Company's strategic and financial objectives.RequirementsWe are searching for a candidate with:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field requiredMinimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience, with at least three (3) years in a manufacturing environment preferredStrong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting requirementsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and financial data analysisStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsExceptional attention to detail and accuracyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilitiesAbility to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and manage time effectivelyExperience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools is preferredDuties and ResponsibilitiesA typical day may include:Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAPLead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reportingPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for assigned balance sheet and income statement accountsMaintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial recordsPerform inventory accounting activities, including inventory reconciliations, reserve analyses, and inventory valuationAnalyze operating results and investigate financial variances, providing recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiencyAssist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsEnsure compliance with GAAP, Company policies, and applicable federal, state, and local regulationsSupport the annual budget, forecasting, and financial planning processesCoordinate and assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation and responding to auditor requestsPrepare and file assigned tax, sales and use tax, and regulatory reports, or support the preparation of such filingsPartner with Operations, Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to improve financial processes and support business initiativesIdentify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve the effectiveness of financial reporting systems and internal controlsAssist with the implementation and optimization of ERP systems and other financial reporting toolsPerform other duties and special projects as assigned by managementBenefits of Working With UsSalary Range: $95,000–$120,000 Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and in keeping with applicable local legislation.Medical/Dental/Vision/Life InsuranceHSA401(k) / Company Match / Non-ElectiveCommuter Benefits (NYC)Generous Paid Time Off (PTO)Tuition ReimbursementEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Plum Benefits…and more!Position DetailsFull-TimeHybrid: 3 days per week in officeLocation: 50 East 153rd Street, Bronx, NY 10451Department: FinanceFLSA Status: ExemptEqual Employment OpportunityVantage Elevation, LLC provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion
