About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Day/Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required. License: Valid state or compact license in hand at time of submission. Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips. - Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills. - Previous telemetry experience. - Candidates must be willing to float within the organization. - Ability to work every other weekend (Friday and Saturday). Description: This position involves providing care for patients in a progressive care unit. The unit treats patients with active oncology diagnoses and those with a history of cancer. Patients may also present with conditions such as COPD, sepsis, and pneumonia. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing dysrhythmias. Experience with telemetry and IV insulin protocols is essential. Candidates must understand isolation precautions and the use of personal protective equipment. This position is in a corrections environment that requires specific access protocols. The schedule will rotate every four weeks with assigned shifts for each period. Candidates should be aware of the urgency of the credentialing process and fingerprinting requirements. Two professional references are required, with one from a supervisory position. Coworker references are not accepted. Travelers who have previously worked within the same organization must be away for 6 months or more. Education must be from an accredited program.
