Donor Engagement Manager

Salary: $55,000.00 - $59,000.00 Annually Application Deadline: Sep 4, 2026 Donor Engagement Manager Ideastream Public Media, a Cleveland-based media organization and home to Ohio’s largest NPR, PBS, and classical radio stations, serving 22 counties in Northeast Ohio with its trusted, in-depth, high-quality local news and information service, seeks two passionate and self-motivated fundraising professionals with a love for community to serve as Donor Engagement Managers to support the Individual Giving team. Reporting to the Manager of Mid-Level Donor Engagement, the Donor Engagement Managers are responsible for enhancing the experience, engagement, and satisfaction of Ideastream’s donors to increase retention rates and giving over time. The ideal candidates are mission-driven and adept at engaging, cultivating, and stewarding donors through consistent communication. These positions will manage a pool of 500-700 mid-level donors in a tiered portfolio. Typical duties include identifying donors with capacity for additional giving, creating personal touchpoints for donors based on their interests and giving, and executing strategies to achieve individual and organizational goals. The Donor Engagement Managers will work closely with the Philanthropy Directors to ensure successful transition of donors desiring a deeper engagement with Ideastream. Qualified candidates will have the ability to build meaningful relationships with donors, community partners, and supporting organizations, demonstrate proficiency using CRM databases, and be able to work evenings and weekends as required. Candidates should also have strong verbal and written communication, decision making, project management, and problem-solving skills. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, and three years in development, donor relations, membership, events, or a similar role is preferred, though an equivalent of experience in related fields and education will be considered. The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $59,000 and is commensurate with experience.
