Make a direct, meaningful impact on elementary students by providing physical therapy services in a supportive educational environment. This contract opportunity focuses on working with children in grades K-4, fostering growth and development in a school-based setting near Quincy, MA. If you’re a skilled physical therapist or physical therapist assistant with experience in healthcare or school environments, this role lets you put your expertise into action.
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Physical Therapy (PT MA) license required
- Previous experience as a PT or PTA in healthcare or educational settings
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement effective therapy interventions for young children
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families
- Dedication to promoting student progress and functional independence
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students in grades K-4, collaborating with other school professionals
- Conduct assessments to develop individualized treatment plans
- Document student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Consult with teachers and staff to create sensory and movement-friendly classrooms
- Educate students, families, and school personnel on beneficial strategies and activities
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and ethical guidelines
