As a Physical Therapist in our practice, you will play a key part in diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating individuals recovering from musculoskeletal injuries or surgeries.

Work Environment

The position is based onsite in our spacious outpatient office, designed with a modern aesthetic and equipped with 5,000 square feet of advanced sports medicine facilities. You will be collaborating with a team of two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA) in a supportive environment that values professional development and teamwork. The clinic's layout includes dedicated areas for patient evaluations, rehabilitation exercises, and therapeutic modalities, ensuring you have the resources needed to provide effective care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to efficiently identify and address patient objectives, needs, and concerns.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, providing focused, individualized treatments that prioritize patient goals.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans utilizing evidence-based techniques to enhance mobility and functionality.
• Design and implement tailored fitness and wellness programs aimed at promoting long-term health and rehabilitation.
• Educate and motivate patients to actively participate in their recovery during each treatment session.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure well-rounded patient care.
• Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment outcomes, and adjust therapeutic interventions as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient services provided according to clinic practices and regulatory standards.
• Foster a positive therapeutic relationship with patients by emphasizing the importance of integrating a healthy lifestyle, including strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination exercises.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients dealing with orthopedic conditions which may include post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain, and other musculoskeletal disorders. Our patient demographic comprises individuals of varying ages, including active adults and athletes seeking to regain their functionality or enhance their performance.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a clean professional record without any disciplinary actions.
• Strong foundational skills in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol development.
• Proficient in the use of WebPT EMR Software for patient documentation and management.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills necessary for effective patient interaction.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Experience in developing rehabilitation programs specifically tailored to individual patient needs.
• Knowledge of the latest therapeutic techniques and treatment methodologies in physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
