Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Skokie, IL
Shift: 8am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday
Pay: $18 - $22 (Depending on experience)
Requirements: Resume / Interview / Authorized to work in the US
Position Type: Temp to Hire
Basic Function:
Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Material Handler to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for moving, stocking, and organizing materials within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments
- Prepare and package outgoing orders accurately and on time
- Operate forklift (5% - 10% of the time), and pallet jack to load/unload materials from trucks
- Make bales of scrap paper
- Perform light product assembly tasks according to specifications
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces in the shipping and production areas
- Keep accurate records of inventory and shipments
- Wrap pallets
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Requirements:
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse environment preferred
- Experience operating a forklift (certification a plus) and pallet jack
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, reach for 8 hours
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Must have the ability to speak read and write English (Spanish is a plus)
