Exciting Opportunity for L&D Registered Nurses!

Job Description:


- Unit: Labor and Delivery
- Shifts: 12-hour Days, EOW, with first to float requirement
- Beds:
- 10 L&D beds
- 2 ORs in L&D
- 2 Triage beds
- 18 Postpartum beds
- Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in L&D, travel experience preferred
- Births: Approximately 130 births per month
- Certifications Needed:
- BLS
- NRP
- ACLS
- Advanced AWHONN
- Nurse Ratios:
- 1:1 close to delivery
- 1:2 otherwise
- 1:4 couplets on postpartum
- Fetal Monitoring System: Obix
- EMR System: Cerner
- Charge Nurse: Yes, shared between L&D and PP
- Nurse Aides/OB Tech: Scrub techs in L&D; none otherwise
- Weekend Requirement: 4 shifts in a 4-week period
- Call Requirement: None
- Holidays: 1 Major (Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year's) and 1 Minor
- Scrub Color: Provided
- Telemetry and Ventilation: None
- OB/Neonatologist: None currently, working on in-house support
- IV and Pharmacy Teams: Available 24/7
- Common Diagnoses: Deliveries down to 23 weeks, including high-risk cases
- Orientation: Floor-specific orientation of 3 shifts
- Floating: Primarily to postpartum; NICU background required for feeder/grower floating
- Cancellation Policy: Up to 4 shifts can be canceled per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for shorter assignments
