Work Environment

This full-time position is primarily conducted in an onsite home care setting, enabling us to provide personalized therapy services in the comfort of our patients' homes. You will be working Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for consistency in patient schedules and the ability to closely monitor progress. As part of our team, you will have a hands-on role in implementing therapeutic interventions that not only maximize movement potential but also enhance the overall health of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to establish individual patient goals based on specific needs and lifestyle.
• Develop and implement customized care plans that incorporate a range of treatment techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and education on injury prevention.
• Guide and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, helping them remain dedicated to their treatment plans by providing encouragement and emotional support.
• Monitor and communicate patient progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure that optimal outcomes are achieved.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, which may include nurses, occupational therapists, and physicians, to coordinate holistic treatment approaches.
• Foster patients' independence by equipping them with tools and strategies to maintain mobility and promote a healthy lifestyle.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care, treatment progression, and outcomes in compliance with industry standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The majority of our patients at Bodywise Physical Therapy are individuals experiencing orthopedic conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation. You will work with a diverse population ranging from athletes recovering from sports injuries to elderly patients managing chronic pain. Your role is pivotal in tailoring treatment approaches that respect the individual goals and body mechanics of each patient, ultimately contributing to their functional goals.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• An active state licensure as a Physical Therapist is essential for practice.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Proficiency in conducting patient assessments, developing effective treatment plans, and delivering direct patient care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to various patient personalities, fostering a therapeutic alliance that encourages compliance and engagement.

Preferred Experience

• Experience implementing specific therapeutic interventions for conditions such as arthritis, tendonitis, fractures, and post-operative rehabilitation.
• Knowledge of evidence-based techniques for enhancing mobility, strength, and function.
• Previous work in a home care setting is a plus but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
