Work Environment

This position is based onsite, focusing primarily on home care services. Here, you will work directly with patients in their home environments, providing a unique insight into their daily lives and challenges. You will manage a caseload that may vary, allowing you to develop deep, meaningful relationships with your patients and their families. Key Responsibilities

As a Full-Time Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Performing comprehensive examinations and evaluations of patients with functional limitations and disabilities.
• Designing tailored treatment plans that address the individual needs and goals of each patient, implementing therapeutic interventions, and modifying plans as necessary.
• Maintaining clear and effective communication with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary treatment team, ensuring a coordinated approach to care.
• Documenting evaluations and treatment progress in accordance with state regulations and professional standards to ensure continuity of care.
• Providing consultations to healthcare providers regarding ongoing patient care and rehabilitation strategies.
• Engaging in community outreach and educational programs to advocate for health and wellness.
• Mentoring and supervising support staff, including Physical Therapist Assistants and aides.
• Participating in team meetings and continuous professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adults and seniors recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions that impair mobility. You will work closely with patients navigating complex health issues, assessing their functional capacities, and instilling in them the confidence they need to succeed in their rehabilitation journeys. Your holistic approach will integrate physical therapy with emotional and psychological support, thereby improving overall patient outcomes.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A valid Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A current state license to practice Physical Therapy in New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and staff.
• Strong organization and time-management skills to manage a variable case load efficiently.
• A commitment to ongoing education and staying current with the latest therapy techniques and practices.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, candidates with additional experience in home health care or geriatric therapy will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is also beneficial for maintaining accurate patient documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with experience.
