Work Environment

This full-time position is primarily based in patient homes, providing you with an interactive and personalized work setting. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their orthopedic needs and devising individualized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and monitor patient progress throughout their recovery, adapting approaches as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Utilize specialized techniques in the home setting to ensure effective management of conditions, employing modalities and exercises tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and self-management strategies to empower them in their recovery.
• Foster effective communication and rapport with patients, ensuring that their concerns and goals are prioritized in every interaction.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and deliver high-quality customer service, contributing to an overall positive patient experience.
• Meet established productivity and utilization goals while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve shared objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgical interventions, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. This role will involve treating diverse age groups, including children, adults, and seniors. Your ability to adapt treatment strategies to suit a variety of conditions and patient needs will be paramount in helping them regain their functional capabilities.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation preferred.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in the field, with a strong emphasis on orthopedic therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Solid computer skills, including familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and word processing software.
• A commitment to building trusting relationships with patients to aid their therapeutic goals.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team to enhance patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in home health care or outpatient orthopedic settings is preferred.
• Specialization or certification in relevant areas such as sports medicine, pediatric therapy, or neurologic rehabilitation is a plus.
• Experience in developing patient education materials or workshops for community outreach.
