Accounts Receivable SpecialistLocation: Cleveland, OH (In-Office)Industry: Legal / Professional Services / AccountingSalary Range: $50,000 – $60,000Position OverviewA top-tier Am Law 200 law firm known for excellence and outstanding client service is seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their accounting team in Cleveland. This role is responsible for processing daily financial transactions, managing client receipts, and supporting cash application workflows within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPayment Processing: Record and apply daily incoming payments, including checks, wires, ACH, credit card, and lockbox transactions.Account Research: Contact clients regarding short pays, overpayments, and unidentified receipts. Make daily bank deposits.Trust Accounting: Deposit and post trust transactions in strict compliance with firm policies.Billing Support: Assist the billing department with payment reversals and the movement of unapplied or trust monies.Account Analysis: Analyze unapplied and trust accounts to identify potential applications.Reporting: Compile and distribute daily cash collection reports to upper management outlining fees collected.Qualifications & SkillsEducation: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred, with a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.Experience: Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a professional services or law firm setting.Software Proficiency: Required proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (entering and manipulating spreadsheets).
