Interim Senior Accountant

Our asset management client is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant for 6+ months to help with month end close and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and intercompany transactions Perform daily and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve variances timely Execute assigned portions of the month-end and quarter-end close process Compile and analyze financial data to support internal and parent company reporting requirements Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting packages Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies Partner with internal departments to gather data and resolve discrepancies Support external audit requests by preparing and organizing required documentation Meet all close deadlines, including reporting to parent company by business day 7 Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field 3–5+ years of relevant accounting experience (corporate or public accounting) Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes Proven ability to work within tight close deadlines (5–7 business day close) Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Great Plains or similar preferred) Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data organization) Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
