About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Government Affairs to lead and execute its federal government relations strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing the organization's legislative, regulatory, and policy priorities, and for strengthening relationships with key stakeholders across the Executive Branch, Congress, and various federal agencies. This senior leadership role involves overseeing the government affairs function, including internal and external resources, and ensuring a unified and effective approach to advocacy and public policy. The Vice President will also be tasked with developing and maintaining relationships with relevant OPM stakeholders, members of Congress, and other key federal healthcare stakeholders, as well as representing the organization in industry associations and policy forums. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with an advanced degree preferred, and at least 10 years of progressive experience in government affairs, federal advocacy, or a related area. The role requires a strong understanding of federal healthcare policy, Congress, and the regulatory process, as well as experience in managing external lobbying, consulting, and public affairs firms. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional strategic thinking, political judgment, and communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to lead a team and influence senior executives. Responsibilities also include serving as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team, preparing executive briefings, and supporting organizational efforts involving federal contracting, healthcare policy, and regulatory compliance.
