The Opportunity

We are hiring a Business Development Representative to join our sales team and build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities from the ground up. In this role, you will lead outbound prospecting, drive lead generation, and create early-stage relationships that open doors for our Senior Growth Managers to close.

You will have real ownership over your outreach, direct visibility into how high-growth D2C brands are won and scaled, and a clear path to grow into a Senior Growth Manager (Account Executive) role as you prove yourself.

This is an entry-to-mid-level position built for someone who wants to break into the sports and fitness marketing space, earn through performance, and grow fast within a team that takes winning seriously.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prospect & Research: Identify and research high-potential D2C brands across the sports, fitness, and wellness verticals.
2. Outbound Engagement: Execute targeted outbound campaigns through email, cold calling, and social media to generate interest and book discovery calls.
3. Lead Qualification: Pre-qualify inbound and outbound leads based on brand size, goals, and fit for OPTYO’s offerings.
4. CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM, ensuring a smooth handoff to AEs.
5. Sales Support: Assist AEs in prepping for pitches and proposals, organizing account information, and following up with prospects.
6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and leadership to align outreach efforts with strategic goals.
7. Learn & Grow: Continuously refine your skills in sales outreach, messaging, and brand storytelling with support and mentorship from senior team members.

What We Are Looking For

1. Have 1–2 years of experience in a sales, lead generation, or client-facing role (agency or startup experience is a plus).
2. Are highly organized, self-motivated, and excited by the idea of earning through performance.
3. Thrive in a fast-paced environment where every conversation could lead to a new client.
4. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Understand the basics of D2C marketing or have a genuine interest in the sports & fitness space.
