The Opportunity

A national energy-infrastructure and construction organization is seeking a Project Executive to lead contract execution, client satisfaction, financial performance, team development, and delivery of large commercial healthcare projects. This is an executive-level project role for a leader who can manage risk, clients, contracts, people, and financial outcomes across one major project or multiple concurrent projects.

Current Project Executives and Senior Project Managers operating at the next level are encouraged to apply. The deciding factor is demonstrated ownership of the complete project outcome—not title alone.

What You Will Own

1.    Lead project teams that may include Project Administrators, Project Accountants, Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers, Superintendents, and trade partners.

2.    Own contract execution, client satisfaction, safety, risk management, and project-completion outcomes.

3.    Manage project financials, forecasting, margin protection, billing, collections, and change management.

4.    Negotiate and administer vendor and subcontractor agreements, scopes, and purchase orders.

5.    Lead schedule strategy with Project Managers and Superintendents, including workflows required to meet construction and energy-performance goals.

6.    Serve as the senior client contact and maintain strong relationships with owners, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.

7.    Lead monthly project reviews and communicate financial, schedule, staffing, and risk conditions to leadership.

8.    Mentor and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and supporting project personnel.

9.    Support business development, repeat-client relationships, and industry engagement.

Required Qualifications

10.      Eight to ten years of verifiable leadership experience on complex commercial projects valued at $20 million or more.

11.      HCAI/OSHPD project experience.

12.      Four-year degree in Construction Management or a related field, plus applicable field-construction experience.

13.      Demonstrated responsibility for project financials, forecasting, contracts, change orders, billing, risk, and client outcomes.

14.      Experience leading Project Managers, Superintendents, and multidisciplinary project teams.

15.      Experience with pull planning and the Last Planner System.

16.      Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore or similar software, and Primavera or comparable scheduling tools.

17.      Executive-level written, verbal, negotiation, and client-presentation skills.

18.      Ability to maintain regular presence at Los Angeles-area project and office locations and travel approximately 15-20%.

Preferred Background

19.      Design-build construction delivery.

20.      Healthcare, higher education, mission-critical, life-sciences, advanced-technology, retrofit, or sustainability projects.

21.      MEP-intensive infrastructure, central plants, building controls, commissioning, or energy-modernization programs.

22.      Responsibility for multiple projects, geographic areas, or long-term client accounts.

Work Requirements

23.      This position is not advertised as fully remote. It requires regular project-site and office presence.

24.      Approximately 15-20% travel to jobsites and office locations.
