Work Environment\n

This position allows for a flexible remote work setting while maintaining close ties with a multidisciplinary team composed of psychologists, psychiatrists, and educational specialists. You will work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening hours and rotating weekends to provide thorough mental health support during critical times. Some on-call availability may also be necessary to address urgent mental health situations, ensuring that our students receive timely care when needed.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, incorporating personal histories and presenting concerns, while identifying risk factors that could impede their well-being.

• Collaborate with students to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that tackle specific mental health challenges, support emotional growth, and promote their successful integration within the educational framework.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed strategies to effectively address a broad spectrum of mental health issues.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions designed to enhance personal growth, emotional regulation, and coping mechanisms.

• Engage in a collaborative process with other mental health specialists to coordinate care, ensuring a unified approach to treatment strategies.

• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, applying de-escalation techniques and referring students to more intensive care as necessary.

The primary focus is on supporting a diverse group of students facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure within the state of New York.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health or educational setting, preferably within community health.

• Proficiency in mental health assessments, diagnosis, and the development of treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits\n
