This position will be primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while still maintaining a strong connection with the schools we serve in Islip, New York. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students to identify mental health needs, including social, emotional, and academic factors that affect their well-being.

• Deliver one-on-one counseling sessions to students addressing a wide range of issues, from anxiety and depression to family challenges and behavioral concerns.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions aimed at developing social skills, enhancing peer relationships, and providing psychoeducation to students and families.

• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to develop and implement tailored treatment plans that incorporate measurable goals and evidence-based interventions.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention services, conducting risk assessments and safety planning, and connecting students with emergency resources when necessary.

• Advocate for students' rights and assist families in navigating healthcare and community resources essential for their child’s success.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, while adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents, providing mental health support in the unique setting of academic institutions. You will work with students facing various challenges, including but not limited to learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, family dynamics, and social adjustment issues. By understanding the diverse backgrounds and experiences of each student, you will tailor your approaches to best meet their needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required.

• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 95,000 per year, along with a generous sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
