Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments through structured interviews, direct observations, and evaluation of medical and educational histories in order to understand the emotional and social factors impacting students’ mental health.

• Provide individual and family counseling, focused on promoting emotional well-being, coping strategies, and adjustment to life transitions for students and their families.

• Collaborate with teachers and school professionals to develop personalized treatment plans that align with each student's emotional and educational needs.

• Facilitate access to pertinent community resources including support groups, vocational training, and mental health services, providing guidance to navigate these options effectively.

• Engage in discharge planning by assisting students in transitioning out of services or into less intensive resources, ensuring continuity of care.

• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss student progress and the collaboration of care, and to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus on a diverse client base ranging from elementary to high school students who are dealing with a variety of mental health challenges. These may include anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and behavioral concerns. The primary focus is on ensuring students receive the emotional support necessary for them to thrive academically and socially within the school environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State, showcasing your qualifications to practice independently.

Compensation and Benefits\n
